I downloaded this lovely book on my Kindle. There are no words. None needed. In Ms. Little's inimitable signature drawings, I was taken to a place in my heart where I don't often look. Our children carry our hearts with them, from birth, through childhood and adolescence, and long after they are grown. I cried the first time I read this book at 3 AM in the morning...not out of sadness...but from joy. Jc has the ability to touch and communicate our deepest feelings of love for our children. I highly recommend this book for all Mothers, daughters, and sons. It is also available in paperback, as well. Mother's Day is coming up. I couldn't think of a better gift. The artwork is lovely, and even without words, you can see and feel the mother's emotions. Such a nice, sweet story.
None are necessary. JC says it all without a single syllable. She captures the essence of motherhood in this book. Any mother will get it immediately, and anyone who's not a mom will get a little insight. Get this for the mothers in your life - or any mother to be.
I am a huge fan of Jc Little's awesome animations. I was so fortunate to WIN a hard copy of The Last Snowman. I loved it so much that I purchased a copy of Motherhood, and most recently downloaded Ello Monkey (informative for those interested in ello, for someone launching their own beta, or those with a general interest in social media). Jc tells a powerful, sweet, heartwarming story with no words needed. But when words are apropos, her own custom font tells it as adorably as her animations always do. Read and gift Jc's books. Enter her nutty monkey-fart world. You might even get lucky enough to get #ToonSwagged someday!
